At whatever stage you are in your golfing journey, our Membership Categories and Visitor / Society experience are second to none.

The Course - Designed by James Braid and in existence for 130 years… though we have improved and extended it many times since then!  

Recognised as one of the major Southwest Courses to play on your bucket list.  The views are fantastic, but the challenge is better.

The Golf – We operate multiple roll up groups for “friendly” golf matches and competitive inter- and intra-club competitions and matches.  There really are options for all.  We also have many reciprocal arrangements with local clubs which offer the opportunity to play on different courses.  

The first tee is open to all visitors and members alike and the Pro Shop can advise on the best time to turn up and play    You can book tee times from 11.00am (10.30in winter) to guarantee your tee off time.

The Practice Facilities - We are proud to announce in 2026 we will open a 12 Bay covered and 6 open bay driving range plus studio with Trackman technology.  This will augment the existing pitching, putting and bunker practice areas to make ours the premier practice facility in Dorset. This facility is open to the public as well as members.

Membership - The range of membership categories continue to develop to meet modern lifestyles, and abilities.  Something for everyone from traditional full 7 day to Intermediate, Academy and Beginner, all at various cost levels to ensure cost is not a barrier to joining, starting or continuing your golfing journey.

Junior Golf – Our Junior Academy is growing both in status and activity.  We have relationships with all local schools and a dedicated Junior PGA Professional who runs many training and technique sessions.   Please email Wes Caines on wescainespga@outlook.com for details.

Whether you wish to try, start, improve, or develop your golf, a fun and friendly Junior Section awaits.  We have a close golf alliance with Dorset County Golf Union for those looking to seek County Honours or beyond.
